CTO62ROELAND (PTY) LTD, trading as Cape Town Office, is a coworking space located at 62 Roeland Street, 3rd floor, Gardens, Cape Town, 8001. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

What information we collect
We collect personal information in two ways:
Information you give us directly -- when you fill in a form on this website (Book a Viewing, Flexi Enquiry, Day Pass booking, Events RSVP, or Newsletter signup), we collect the information you submit. This typically includes:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone or WhatsApp number
- Your enquiry or booking details
Information collected automatically -- when you visit this website, Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, browser and approximate location (country/city level). This data does not identify you personally.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information only for specific, legitimate purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry -- if you contact us about a viewing, membership or day pass, we use your details to get back to you
- To process bookings and RSVPs -- so we know who's coming and can confirm arrangements
- To send the newsletter -- if you sign up for the CTO Dispatch, we use your email to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time
- To understand how our website is used -- Google Analytics helps us see which pages are useful and where we can improve. This data is anonymous and aggregated
We do not collect personal information for any purpose beyond what's listed above.
Where your information is stored
Form submissions are stored in Zoho CRM, a cloud-based customer relationship management platform. Zoho is GDPR-compliant and operates data centres in multiple regions. You can read Zoho's privacy policy at zoho.com/privacy.
Website analytics data is stored by Google Analytics (GA4). Google anonymises IP addresses and does not allow us to identify individual visitors. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not store your personal information on our own servers.
How long we keep your information
We retain your personal information for as long as it is relevant to the purpose for which it was collected:
- Membership and booking enquiries -- retained for the duration of your membership or engagement with us, and up to 12 months after
- Newsletter subscribers -- retained until you unsubscribe
- Event RSVPs -- retained for 3 months after the event
- Analytics data -- retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default setting)
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your information is only shared with the platforms we use to operate our business -- Zoho CRM for contact management and Google Analytics for website analytics. Both are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses Google Analytics, which places cookies in your browser to track anonymous usage data. These cookies do not identify you personally.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or any other tracking technology beyond Google Analytics.
Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to the processing of your information
- Withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter)

Security
This website is hosted on Vercel, a platform with enterprise-grade security and automatic SSL encryption (the padlock in your browser). All data transmitted between your browser and this site is encrypted.
Because this is a static website with no database, there is no server-side data to breach. Form submissions are transmitted securely to Zoho CRM via their encrypted API.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will always reflect when it was last updated. We won't notify you of minor changes, but any significant change to how we use your data will be communicated directly if we have your contact details.
